About Germantown, TN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Germantown is a Shelby County, Tennessee city that borders Memphis to the east. The city has a population of roughly 39,000 residents, and the total area is approximately 17.6 square miles. The city’s economy is dominated by commercial and retail services, and no major industry jobs are available in the community. The “Old Germantown” neighborhood is located in the center of the city, and it is anchored by an old railroad depot. The area is served by the Germantown Municipal School District, and students attend Houston High School. Historically, Germantown is known for being the site of an F3 tornado, which destroyed the eastern portion of the city in 1994.

Germantown is the host city for a variety of popular regional events. Germantown Festival has been held for over 40 years at the Germantown Civic Club Complex, and it offers arts and crafts, games, rides, musical entertainment, food, and a Running of the Weenies Dachshund race. The city also hosts a variety of equestrian events, including the Germantown Charity Horse Show which is held each June. Events are hunter/jumper with various divisions available.

In addition to the special events held in Germantown, other sites of interest are also available. The Great Hall & Conference Center is a popular location for receptions and business meetings, and the Germantown Athletic Club offers swim lessons and other recreational activities. Other popular destinations include Bobby Lanier Farm Park and the Artist’s Compass Art School. In terms of climate, Germantown and the rest of the region is known for having four distinctly different seasons. A mild and rainy autumn will lead to mild to cool winter months. Average January temperatures in the heart of the winter are in the low 40s, meaning that even residents in a southern state like Tennessee can benefit from a furnace or heat pump. Weather conditions change quite dramatically in the summer when the climate becomes hot and humid, so investing in a high-quality air conditioner that can help you to beat the heat is essential.
